Has anyone ever had a parrot fly to them just to be with them?

Keets, if you should ever visit this place:

http://www.oreillys.com.au/lamington-national-park/birds-of-lamington/

... parrots will be all over you like a rash, but more because they're lookin' for a feed than anything else. :)

They are very social, but I suspect they like humans more for our ability to provide food than for our intrinsic charm.

Purple teeth expectorate 300 Martians in a vivarium through a chamberpot darkly.

Okay, this? Is worthy of the "Post something bizarre about the person above" thread.

If you noticed, the actual grammatical structure was sound. It was the usage of the words that made no sense.

Random Not-Very-Useful Fact of the Day:

Did you know that the nonsense poem Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll has been translated into several languages? And that in each of these translations, the syntactic structures are correct, but the words make no sense?

Yes, I thought that you did.

I would have guessed as such, given that question.

On reflection, I shouldn't say that the words in Jabberwocky make NO sense at all. Some are onomatopoetic, and others are conflations of two or more better-known lexical items: e.g. slimy + lithe --> slithy.

Nup. I'm still here, but not for much longer: it's close to midnight.
