I thought the Beatles said happiness was a warm gun.

Tell me what it was. Do you play Final Fantasy XI? Or at least read "Bannable Offences"?

No, and no. I was trying to get your attention for no particular reason.

I though happiness was being able to sleep at night.

Oh.

*Pushes ShadesOfMe into a watertrough.*

I'm using water-troughs instead of wells because A), I do not want to get sued by Frank Miller and Zack Snyder, and B) a water trough is easier to get out of. Oh, and C), a well isn't usually full of horse slobber.

I so want to go there. http://www.oreillys.com.au/lamington-national-park/birds-of-lamington Would the park staff allow me to bring millet? I'm thinking Brisbane might be where I'd want to move, but is there a bus connecting the city to the park? Looks like a place for reservations, so I'd need to get a job first.

You can visit Lamington National Park without going to O'Reilly's at all; and even if you do go there, you don't have to book overnight accommodation. There are guided bus tours that include it on their itineraries, or you can make a day trip there off your own bat. It's pretty much of a stock-standard tourist attraction with snackbar, gift shop, etc. But what sets it apart is that you can buy bags of birdseed, then go out in the open and become a human parrot perch. You stand with your arms outstretched, hands full of seed, and you might have one on top of your head, and two or three on each arm, and they form a queue and hop over you in a circuit so that they all have a turn eating the food in your hands. It's good fun. :)

How did the public speaking thing go?

Xan scrubbed up very handsomely in a two-piece dress suit, and he and his beautiful co-host emcee'd a talent night. The two of them have previously represented their school in public speaking, and last night they had a tight script and a friendly audience. They did brilliantly, and the whole evening came off really well. Mummy is proud. 8)
