Well, we use a Holy Hand Grenade here called Myxomatosis.
Isn't that a form of genocide? Whether there are some left or not, isn't it cruel to increase those animal's suffering?
Rabbits are a pest here, iamnotaparakeet.
I still don't like it.
What would you prefer? Having them shot and sold as meat? Fumigated in their burrows? Besides, about 50% of rabbits here are resistant now.

Shooting them is a faster way of death that provides both food and fur. Chemicals tend to harm more than there intended audience. 50% still suffering and 50% with a loss of genetic variability which may lead to their eventual extinction from Australia and Britain.

Well, we'll still have rabbits in America at least. It would be nice if so many creatures didn't end up like this guy:
The Carolina Parakeet, only one that used to be native to the US and it died out in the 1920s due to diseases coming by way of chickens.
I need to take my meds and go to bed, it is 5am now. Nice staying with you all today.
