As of this post, the count is up to 30,394.

But the number of posts in this thread is now 30,491 (that's the first post + 30,490 replies). From what I can tell, the discrepancy is due to a number of accidental repeat posts, and posts with only commentary; examples of both can be seen on the first page. Considering the size of this thread, I don't think it's a huge problem. But I am open to suggestions on how we might close the gap, if people want – preferably without skipping numbers.
