Plasma is COOL, okay not temperature wise but it is awesome. It mentioned plasma in the article on Munroe charges and I found this quite fascination. This is the Wikipedia article on plasma.

A candle flame is a minimal plasma if I understand the definition of ionized gas or vapor. So is the glow in a Neon (NE2 bulb)
light or the ionization of mercury vapor in a fluorescent light.

What do you think of the Shiva Star Project, although it died out. Do you think Plasma weapons will ever be used on a battlefield? What do you think of Direct Energy Weapons?

edit: these are items I talked about at work that made other coworkers feel uncomfortable, does anyone feel uncomfortable? May I get you a pillow?

Does it use a shaped charge for initial penetration?

Not sure, but if it helps with penetration, maybe so.

Well, you do know what a shaped charge is, doncha?

Yes. A brilliant example would be the Claymore mine. Shaped charges are also used in reactive armour, too.

I meant like a HEAT missile. A Claymore is more like a shotgun. I meant like an inverted cone of metal surrounded by explosive. Explosive goes off, metal cone inverts and becomes a hypersonic slug of metal going at a great rate of knots. Punch through most things.

Ahh yes the old Munroe effect was bound to show up sooner or later.....

Precisely what I meant.

Here's what exists already and is within reach of a competent technician or experimenter:

A couple of weeks ago there was a thread that talked about cell phone jamming devices.

As far as I know this only features the dazzler and the ultra short range stunshock, but it still is interesting.

Richie, have you ever bought anything from Amazing1 or Consumertronics?
