All I'm saying is that the stereotypical portrayal of the French as 'Cheese-eating surrender monkeys' is a bit unfair when you look at the whole history of Gallic warfare. As for leaders, well, Jean d'Arc. 'Nuff said.

Hmm, so Corsica was Italian. And so was Bonaparte's family. Whatever, most people wouldn't know the difference.

Asterix and Obelix rescue a Corsican prisoner (Boneywasawarriorwayayix) from the Romans, and get him back to Corsica. Hilarity (along with vendettas and smelly cheeses) ensues. But because it is very provincial humour, it is the lowest selling book in English (though in France, it sells very well).
