Why don't you all rent the movie? (It's worth every dollar you pay - remember the director, Andrei Tarkovski. There may be several movies with the same title.)

Why do false beliefs die hard? The translation issue wasn't about those comments but about a short phrase used my Moomingirl which I found impossible to translate into Finnish.

And no, of course I can't remember it any more.

Why do you not realise there were two questions of translation?

One was translating 'into banningishness' into Finnish, and the other one was translating Sleepy Moomin's caption into English.

Weren't you paying attention?

May I try my hand at the first part, leaving the second part to you?

'Into banningishness' may be bannaavaisehkoisuuksiin in Finnish but I'm not sure. There is no corresponding structure.
