I don't know CPR. Never took more of a first aid course than a few basics in the Nippers.

I see.

I must have had most of my characters at about level 18 last time, and they came out at about level 21. I didn't use all my characters, either. Now I am, and alternating between them. Know where one can get any good crossbows?

Dunno. I kept Vaan and Penelo on daggers, Ashe and Basch on swords, Fran on longbows and Balthier on guns, at the time. It took a while to come up with a system to level them up evenly, but now I alternate between:

Party 1: Vaan, Penelo, Ashe

Party 2: Basch, Fran, Balthier

(Bold denotes party leader)

Well, I discovered, this time round, that different weapons work in different ways, how stupid of me not to figure it out the first time round.

Apparently, they deal damage in different ways.

http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/Fina ... II_weapons

Balthier is equipped with a Cypress Pole, Vaan with a Mage Masher, Ashe with a Zwill Blade, Penelo has a Killer Bow, Basch a Handaxe, and Fran has a Cherry Staff.

Fran is supposed to be a Red Mage, but she only casts Fire and Cure on gambits. The Cherry Staff helps alot, it adds to the power of elemental attacks. When I get the elemental weakness gambits, she should be much more effective.

Penelo is supposed to be a white mage, and she does it well. The bow helps too. She somewhat resembles Rosa Farell from FFIV, in that she is a white mage who uses a bow to attack.

Ashe is supposed to be a Paladin, and she fits the role well.

Basch is a Dark Knight of sorts, but can also heal if I manually control him to.

Balthier could be called a privateer.

Vaan is definitely a thief, and steals from HP-critical enemies.

I just use the characters best for the job, and try to keep them all no more than 2-3 levels apart.

It's the fact that you used Latin names that disturbed me. I hate hate HAAATE learning muscle and bone names. I mean, would would you need to know what the hell the xiphoid process is?

And you a Latin enthusiast and everything! Who'da guessed.

Back when I was still at uni, one of my roommates studied Anatomy & Physiology. Because she didn't have an ounce of fat on her, the prof would regularly ask her up in front of the class so he could point out, on her, where particular structures of the body could be found. Highly embarrassing. Let's just say I never would have got asked to be mannequin-for-the-day.... :D

I only learned about leg muscles through living the orthopaedic nightmare that is my right knee. And in particular, trying to release the iliotibial band and restore tone to the vastus medialis oblique. Sheer screaming torture, that was.

Xiphoid process? Without looking it up, I would have said, "The little spur of bone on your elbow joint that so spectacularly fails to protect the sensitive place where, if you bump it, your whole arm goes numb." I'm sure that's right.

Their talking about PS2 game Final Fantasy XII. I've never played it so I can't figure out much of what they're talking about and I doubt I will ever get to play it.
