Me too. I used to work the 11pm to 7am shift. I loved it. Hardly any people to deal with, and the few fellow co-workers on the shift with me were generally nuts too.
Suited me down to the ground.

I know, right? I used to work the graveyard shift in the lab back when I was a scientist. It was great! I was a lot more productive and efficient being (mostly) by myself. Most nights I could also turn up the radio up really loud, although the cleaners once caught me singing into the microscope.
That said, scientific research is a team effort, and I spent a lot of time with co-workers during the day – made me nervous no end.
Speaking of pineapples, one researcher in my lab was studying pineapple enzymes for a couple of months. I always loved it when he was in the lab, because the whole room ended up smelling of pineapples, my favourite fruit.

Back in the days when I lived in the UK, I used to do my supermarket shopping in the middle of the night too.
I was telling my friend about it, and how it did seem to be all the weirdo's who shopped at that time. She just gave me a meaningful look.
