I fully submit to the greatness that was FF5, but I still never liked the name Cecil. How can you compare that to Cloud, Sephiroth, Squall, Kefka, Rinoa, hell even Tidus when he was the gayest character of them all. (Too much of a sissy, even though I liked his compassion.)

Sephiroth was a momma's boy, and Cloud screwed up in the head. I think Cecil, though a bit two-dimensional, set the scene for later Final Fantasy heroes, because Firion from FFII was worse than him. At least Cecil had a personality.

OMG, I just realized I've been saying "Quartermass" all along when it's really "Quatermass". Is that like a quaternion? I had a friend who was into math and topology a while back.

That actually has a personality? Hmmm, intellectually, I'm dissatisfied with most of the cast of FFII. I also think Necron from FFIX wasn't very well developed.

I've finished virtually all Final Fantasy games except III and V. And XI, but I don't count that.
