Azumanga Daioh is the first thing in some time to actually make me laugh out loud. I feel so sorry for Chiyo-chan....

The only anime shows I ever saw were Pokémon, Cardcaptors and Yu-Gi-Oh and they were all really repetitive.

If you have a library membership, you should go find some real anime titles at your library. I wholeheartedly recommend:

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex

Planetes

Death Note

and, of course, Neon Genesis Evangelion.

These are very serious anime titles, and very little repetition.

OK, but you live in Australia so your libraries might have different selection to mine.

They have a surprising amount of anime DVDs, so much so that they have a seperated 'animated' section in the DVDs section of the library. I recommend you try. In fact, if your local library has an online catalogue, then look up those series right now.

I'll check my Librabry. I live in England so it might be slightly different.

I have been studying chemistry today. Kinetics is an interesting subject. I need to learn calculus sometime, I just hate the lousy notation that is used.

Believe me, if that's Liebniz-based notation, you should have seen Newton's calculus. Apparently that's way harder.

dy/dx instead of x' and d^2y/dx^2 instead of x" is just easy. Derivatives are fine. Integrals however... The integral symbol with all its associated signs is about as fun as trying to read Hebrew without the vowel markings. Same thing goes with Sigma in statistics. It would be nice to have a teacher to ask questions. My stepdad never answers a question directly, he just asks me questions as if these arbitrary things were intuitive.
