Well I need to do what I must
To revive this thread from the dust
Since I needed everybody
To appreciate poetry.

I cleaned it up; I said I'd not,
old time indeed my station attacked.
I closed the doors and hoped for bot,
then snuck back in to take it back.
I threw I tossed I pulled and tore.
papers piled categorically for
my mind to ponder my heart to search
paintings will come if I'm on my perch.

this thread really is a gas
althought my words mostly are crass
i wish i could contribute more
at the risk of being the bore
but mostly the muse does pass
and leaves me feeling 2nd-class
among WP's literate corps
give me more talent, i implore :hmph:

I though you were different from the others
You are, you're worse
You betrayed my trust
Reinforced my beliefs about the natures of Man
I hope you're happy

The chair
is over there
It's where it was,
I wasn't because
I can't,
And even when, he took the hen,
It didn't lay the golden egg,
He broke his leg,
And found, he thought
What she had bought,
And instead we caught the bus to town,
And on that route along the way
Sometime last May, or maybe not
The lights were red and then they changed
Rearranged,
Then lollipop
And glitter and moon
And air, and there, it's where it was
The chair, and down we sat.

Today I play
If that's OK,
And then this way
I'm happy and gay
But not, I say
As yesterday
I went astray
And forgot to pay,
And if I may,
I'd love to stay,
With you and lay
On bails of Hay,
All night 'til day,
We'll hide away
And like birds of prey
We'll soar.

Well, I just guessed
That I am blessed
For in fortune
I am in tune
With everyone
Now I am done.

xmas is a'comin',
things are now a'hummin'.
new year's not far away,
with the damp and the gray.
let the next year speed by,
sans a cry or a sigh-
until next december,
or at least november-
i like both those months more,
the rest i don't adore. :hmph:

I know not how to say of this,
But I think of something to bliss.
If by any chance I get luck,
A new hope embedded on rock.

Bells and birds and lights,
scents and sweets and trees,
cats curled with noses fleeced
skies soothing gray for peace.
And yet, I hide from shops,
from cars and crowds and cops.
Let money fly to send the gifts
worth carefully not making rifts.
On that day I'll sneak away,
to silent trails my eyes will stray.
To freely roam my feet must pay
and bring me home a lonely ray.

I know this goes against the original intention of someone who is excellent in everything but his job, but it is parody.

I am the very model of an adolescent 'lectual,
I've information integral, numeral, and lingual,
I know all of the codons, and I code NA traditional
From adenine to inosine, in order very sequential;
I'm very well acquainted, too, in subjects not illogical,
I understand the lack of statements truly said infallible,
About fallacies and arguments, I'm teeming with a lot o' news,
With many somber facts about the nature of the bad excuse.

I'm fairly flat at integral and differential calculus;
I know the structures of the score-and-two acids aminous [sic]:
In short, in matters integral, biological, and lingual,
I am the very model of an adolescent 'lectual.

I know a bit o' geology, especially the names of rocks;
I'm muddled by some metaphors, confused by outright paradox,
I parody the others' works in verbiage superfluous,
In satire I can become more than very little malicious;
I can tell when there is humming in the higher sonic frequencies
I know the puzzling paradox stated by 'pimenides!
Then I can speak in spheres and cubes, if I had time to spare before,
And tell tall tales that I have read, and are now considered mere lore.
Then I can draw a perfect void, in every manner uniform,
And discuss the growth of crops that supply themselves with many corm [sic]
In short, in matters minimal, numeral, and integral,
I am the very model of an adolescent 'lectual.

In fact, when I learn the tongue of the elves I know is Sindarin,
When I can tell in conversation when to seek ways out or in,
When for self defense I learn how to throw the fabled lariat,
And when I know exactly what the others mean in saying, "look at,"
When I have learnt what, "student," means without the usual foolery,
When I know more of norms than my non-verbal computer-y [sic]
In short, when I've the slightest clue of real-life social strategy-
You'll say a better 'lectual had never created energy.
For my grand stores of knowledge, though I am capable of usury;
Has never had a social side, except in the recent hurry;
But still, in matters integral, numeral, and lingual,
I am the very model of the adolescent 'lectual.

EDIT:
Typo on line 3

You took my favourite cap without a word of warning,
How would you like it if I did that to you?
You sold my bike and made me cry,
How would you like it if I did that to you?
You made me lose my patience and my mind,
You made me lose my place and fall behind,
You did all this, yet still I'm blind,
How would you like it if I did that to you?
You swore you would't hurt me, you broke my heart,
you punched me and you kicked me and tore apart,
My brand new winter jacket, just for a start,
How would you like, hey how would you, if I did that to you?
I know you are alone now, And yes I care,
I'm never coming back though. You are aware?
I have turned the tables, and you didn't think I'd dare,
And yes, I did that to you.

Through the streets so late at night I wonder,
Alone, but that's the way I like it,
The early hours when all is quiet and peaceful,
And the dust has settled from the day gone by.

The people are the same out here,
We're mutual, we no not each others names,
'The universal soldier' and a lady with bags,
I never felt safer in all my life.

I wear the night time like a cloak,
The icy cold kisses my skin,
A cup of tea would be nice right now,
And in the morning a bus ride home.
