I don't start threads. But I would be very happy to answer questions.

Do you mean English language, or strange general English life?

Cool. Although I've found some websites that do answer language queries. Sometimes it is easier than trying to word things myself.

Occasionally when trying to explain things to my foreign friends, I have ended up saying 'because we just do it that way, because English is stupid' as a closing argument. Not helpful, but sometimes it seems like there is no logic at all.

Actually, I didn't have that kind of Why? questions in mind. Something more down to earth, I'll be back with the subject when I'm finished with writing my opening message.

No but... well, I'm not sure if it is a good idea at all. Low self-esteem, remember? And the subject matter itself... there are language forums of all kinds, even one in English about the Finnish language.

Well, I will definitely participate. Or if you prefer you can always PM me instead. :)

What is the English forum about Finnish language please?

Guess what tomorrow's distraction from 'whatever I am supposed to be doing' will be?

You will delve into the ecclesiastical history of Fenno-Scandia near the end of the 12th century?

They were turbulent times. Civilized nations tried to ram Christianity down my ancestors' throats. Success was minimal. The Russians had tried it before, with less success. We chopped their bishops' heads off. The two nations that were the last to be converted to Christianity in Europe were the Finns and the Latvians.

Not entirelly. There's still a population of Seita worshippers in the north.
