I don't start threads. But I would be very happy to answer questions.

Do you mean English language, or strange general English life?

Language. -- I might start it myself, I'm working on the opening post.

Cool. Although I've found some websites that do answer language queries. Sometimes it is easier than trying to word things myself.

Occasionally when trying to explain things to my foreign friends, I have ended up saying 'because we just do it that way, because English is stupid' as a closing argument. Not helpful, but sometimes it seems like there is no logic at all.

Actually, I didn't have that kind of Why? questions in mind. Something more down to earth, I'll be back with the subject when I'm finished with writing my opening message.

No but... well, I'm not sure if it is a good idea at all. Low self-esteem, remember? And the subject matter itself... there are language forums of all kinds, even one in English about the Finnish language.
