Laura blinked. "It.. doesn't hurt anymore." She said in amazement. "Merci, Space Kitty! You really are amazing!" She said, snuggling it happily.

After Dan and Rose finished eating what was on their plates, they overheard Lychee squeeing over how delicious the rice dumplings are, they decided to try to have some rice dumplings themselves.

Later, Dan and Rose overhears Laura talking to the creature, had an argument with it, and, with his newly given magic powers, sensed Laura being upside-down to show the creature about something, which is something that shouldn't be done when out in public.

Dan and Rose walked up to Laura and the mystical creature, and Dan asked, "Hey, is there a problem?"

Laura flinched at hearing Dan. "I... I had a little meltdown. Space Skitty took her dress off, which I still which you hadn't done... That kinda triggered me because that would kinda be bad publicity for me to be around this naked little kid who can't learn table manners, and one thing led to another and I busted my arm... But I'm just fine! Space Skitty healed me. Now my only fear is that something bad's donna happen because the Litten's out of the bag now." She nervously started braiding Space Skitty's hair.

"Oh, you mean like...?", Dan responded, but then he looks around to see if no one was looking, then he whispered to Laura, "You being upside-down, hanging on the ceiling above this building, you're worried about being found out about having magic powers?"

Laura nodded. "Yeah... I know it wasn't the smartest decision I've made, I just really lack in the thinking department!" She said, burrying her face in her hands.

"Well, just try to be more careful next time, okay?", Dan said, "Even though I keep hearing that you're the champion, it doesn't give you any right to be such a showoff. Believe me, I hate it when famous people are just such attention...um...well, attention hogs, you know?"

"Yeah, I know people hate that... But that's just the name of the game. You have to get as much attention as possible or you'll go in the hazbin bin and nobody'll love you. Still, even I can see that was a dumb move on my part. Not that it matters now..." she sighed. "Actually now I need to go fix myself back up, I look like a mess now. I'll be right back, okay?" She then promptly ran off.

"Whoa! How did you do that?"" Lilli jumped out of their seat when Laura teleported onto the ceiling.

That was perfect teleportation technique! She didn't even screw up and get stuck in anything! Also, it seemed like her dress could defy gravity!

"I wish I could do that...." they muttered.

Suddenly, Umbria disappeared and reappeared on the ceiling next to Laura. "Hey, I can do that, too!" she sang.

She clapped her hands together excitedly. "Kyaaaa! Isn't it cool??"

I thought being popular is about being liked by many people, not about gaining as much attention as possible, Dan thought to himself. I mean, even though I was naturally popular, I don't care if others don't like me. Not everybody likes everything. Still, being a Pokémon champion to live with being watched by others....that's pretty...unnerving.

"I'm ba~ack!" Laura sang, coming in again with her hair and makeup twice as extravagant. "Whaddya think?" She asked with that familliar adorable grin.

[So has anyone noticed the magical goings-on? Oh, and just so you know, braiding hair is considered one of the most intimate acts [by which I mean loving and affectionate, not sex!] by beings in the kitty creature's home dimension. And if you think I just made that up on the spot, it's been a part of my book canon of years, along with the cosmic light.]

It purred in delight as Laura braided its hair.

"Wow, what is that creature?" Lychee's mom asked earlier when she saw the space cat.

Lychee and their mother were out at the buffet when all of the chaos happening, so they missed Laura teleporting onto the ceiling and all those shenanigans.

The crowds had thinned out considerably since it was already past midnight, so Lychee was going around to all of the stations at the buffet-- soup bar and omelet station included-- and putting something of every item onto their plate.

They came back to the table toting what looked like a leaning tower of food on a plate, which threatened to topple over at any second. Was that a.... live crab clacking around on top of an omelet?

"Whew!" Lychee grinned. "...So did I miss anything?"

It was enjoying the hair braiding very much, and was almost falling asleep on Laura's lap. Folded against its back, previously hidden by the gown, was a single feathery white wing, small in size.

Laura smiled softly. Wow, this little critter really likes having it's hair done, huh? She thought, tying off the end with a bright pink bow, something she kept with her just in case she lost one of hers. She picked up another chunk of hair, revealing the wing. "Eh? What's this thing?" She asked with a confused expression.

She looked up, slightly spooked by Lychee. "Um... no, you didn't." She said nervously.

This is a wing. It said redundantly, half-asleep. Somewhere in the cosmos, is the twin with the matching wing. In the plane of essence called the Aeter Plane, all children are born as twins with one wing each.

"Aww, so now you have to find your long lost brother or sister, huh? But wait, how will you know who's the match? Can't you just link up with anyone with a right wing to fly? Or can you even fly at all?" She asked, starting on the other braid.
