You missed the point.
I cant explain if your not able to grasp it.
Your thinking in multipliable dimensions of time, instead of a flat line.
each part of what is has its own type of DNA code as it progresses.
Just because you change a time line does not mean you change because of it.
In other-words, you can go into the past and change what was and it would affect the altered time lines, but not your own as you exist now. your new self may never even travel time, but you already exist in the new time line. there are not multipliable time lines, even though used as reference, there is only one.
