I liked A Scanner Darkly, even if the form overwhelmed the content. (All the rotoscoping gets hard on the eyes after a while....) And the character was supposed to be messed up and rapidly losing his mental functions. But yeah, that desperate sheen of sweat looked quite genuine - even through the cartoon imagery.
