Every autumn we get loads of mushrooms growing near us. I love going out and picking them (free yummy food!) but I was pretty nervous the first couple of years, until I got used to the idea that mushrooms didn't have to come from supermarkets. Haven't poisoned myself yet.

I suppose the dogs don't know any better. It does make mushroom picking hazardous though.
Which makes me think of fugu.

The sheer looks of fugu always makes me wonder why people want to risk their lives by eating it.

I wonder how they can prepare fugu so you can eat it? I thought fugu were supposed to be poisonous.

Certain parts are poisonous. Specially trained chefs prepare it, so it is generally safe to eat. There are accidents though.
