Childhood? Believe me, it wasn't yesterday.

I grew up with one of these, our next-door neighbor had a speedway-bike shop. I can remember the sound and smell. It was a one-mile road where he checked the engines. Kids, ten years of age, we watched every inch he covered. It was in the 1950s. I am old. Older than most. Not my fault.

The moment we started to try and ride them against their will.

Why does there have to be a god?
Why does humans so much feel they need one?

Why does the world admire the Paris Hilton/Miley Cyrus/Lindsay Lohan types, and largely forget people like Diane Fossey and Corrie Ten Boom?

'The world' doesn't admire them. Some people admire them. Some people like to watch them in the same way they find it hard to look away from car crashes. Some people like to watch them to feel superior. Personally I would rather spend time with a good book than hearing what some brainless idiot is doing to stay famous next. (Pretend it was a question).

Oh yes, I have one question - Weren't the old stars of Hollywood much more stylish? :P

Perhaps, but how would they do in today's world?

Wouldn't they just have more class than to act like Miley Cyrus?
