Hey everyone. Sometimes just smiling is fine. Good to see you all around here. :)

It's nice to be around again.

Sometimes when I get home I just curl up on a chair and watch the telly.

We don't have TV connected any more. We still watch DVDs sometimes from the library. Other than that we read, or go on the interweb.

You don't even get free-to-air TV? Or did you just get rid of your actual TV set?

NZ went digital. We didn't bother getting the box to upgrade. We've found hours extra in the day.

Ah, gotcha. Australia's gone completely digital, as well. Makes me wonder: my grandmother has a TV set that's older than I am. It's an old, giant thing with buttons for individual channels and an actual dial (like a radio dial) for the volume. Goodness knows if she's managed to get a new TV or a converter box. I might try to find out.

My in laws had one of those big old TVs. They were talking about trying to sell it. They didn't seem to realise that no one wants a TV like that these days. :?

A cup of tea and a slice of cake should suffice.

Lol, that's what friends and family used to offer me in exchange for basic tech support, especially when I was a uni student. Some of them may not have known much (if anything) about their own computers, but they could sure cook well. Worked on me every time.

Oh, and my aunty bought my grandmother a new TV, so she's fine. :)

That's good. I was picturing your poor grandma sadly sitting there looking at a blank screen.

syzygyish , I suspect a cup of tea and a slice of cake would be enough for you to take it off their hands. However, the postage to send it on to you may be rather prohibitive. :P

I still don't see those on my screen. I have to assume you are not saying a big block of nothing, press quote, and then copy the link.

Hi Murihiku. :) nice (and very appropriate) song.

I love Ray Charles. :D

What device are you using for WP, Mooms? The videos come up on my iPhone, but minus the titles; I have to actually click the videos to find out what they are (first-world problems, but meh).

I'm on my ipad. All I see where the YouTube screen occasionally is, is just a blank space. I will try clicking in the general area some time, to see if that works.

Every once in a while (like when I press 'reply' and before I go through to the 'post a reply' screen) I will briefly see the YouTube screen show, then it vanishes again. Interestingly, it always seems to show in the 'topic review' screen, below where I am typing.

As you say, first world problems, but if anyone can suggest how to fix this I would be interested.

Yes Murihiku, I like Ray Charles too. :)

Update - I tried clicking on the blank area where the YouTube screen should show. It played the audio but I still couldn't see anything. So why do I see it from the 'reply screen'?
