Hang on, I haven't had my cup of tea, yet.

Then I'll be chipper, just you wait and see.

You sound just like me now. Except it takes me two cups of tea. :D

And on that note ... how's everyone been doing this weekend? :)

I had a very busy day yesterday, going to a new place and doing something new, so quite stressful. Today is gorgeous weather so I am going to stay at home, catch up on the washing, and study some Italian.

How about you? :)

Catching up with family. Made sushi for my niece yesterday. Haven't done that in ages.

I've been studying Japanese with textbooks and apps, too. I'd forgotten how much I missed studying at uni.

Saved you just before you dropped onto the next page.

Is it warming up there yet Krabo? We've had our first frosts this week.

Here it feels hot, although I look at the weather service and it says it's only 65 F (18 C). It's almost 2 hours after lunch already, but the temperature is supposed to clime further to 72 F (22 C).

Highs in the high 70's expected all week today. No precipitation, like always. The entire landscape is dry as bones. I wouldn't be surprised if a fire were to start now.

Southern California, Central Coast.
Not exactly a desert per se, but if this drought persists long enough, it's going to be.

Summer is just creeping in. Long-period forcast says we will have it hot. Continental climate over Siberia is gradually moving westward.

Interesting to know what's happening there Krabo, climate-wise! What temperature is a hot summer in Finland?

Kip, that was not where I thought you were! 8O I'm a California native myself, southern. It's a good thing I'm not living there now; one of my foibles is I tend to use a lot of water. Hope you're doing alright!

Poor Mooms, and the coldness of June! :D

Ah well, can't complain too much, it is beautiful clear days at the moment.

We are apparently due to have a mild winter too, which would be nice.

I might know the type. :D In the town I spent most of my childhood in, in Southern California, winter meant a low-hanging downy-yellow sun, soft light, cool, crisp air, usually clear skies with the ubiquitous fluffy jet contrails; yellow deciduous leaves, and clean, clear air with just a hint of chimney smoke coming from somewhere. And then we had the apple-orchard tourist-trap town up the hill from us. :D

Is the milder winter at all to do with the El Niño?

I wonder if the Polynesians ever really noticed that the seasons were reversed on some of their islands?
