I was a teenager back then, and my tastes of the time were much more satisfied by The Lost World than by the original Jurassic Park film. Granted, the first one had the exciting shock of surprise and the delight of the new, but the second one was much more exciting in the dangerous scenes and had a cleverer script.

The third movie, though... what a shame.

By the way, I win.

It does usually seem like filmmakers and authors get worse as time goes on.
Like they don't try as much when the audience has their attention.

E.g.:
The Hades Factor was good, Cassandra Compact was okay, but the
series seemed to drag on into the realms of boringness after that.
