Guinan rubbed her tired eyes and looked around at the somewhat improved condition of the house. "Yeah! Well, so, the only thing left is the payment."

"Yup! Payment, that is right." OlIve yawned sleepily before she went searching for her checkbook. "Where is it, where is it..."

She had moved halfway across the kitchen when she finally plucked out a hot pink book from the counter. "Ah-ha!"
Then she began thinking and doing calculations on her fingers.
"Okay, so for the past... twelve hours..." Olive blinked. "Wait, has it really been twelve hours?!"

She smiled as she looked briefly at Guinan, and then in a flash she had written off a check, tore it off, and handed it to Guinan.

Guinan may have stared down at the number amount in her hands.
Fifty thousand Kalos credits? But that was twice the promised amount--

Olive beamed as she looked away shyly. "Uhm... I know it's not much, but that's the most I've got. I'm kinda short on money..."

"No, really, that's so nice of you," Guinan said sincerely. "I have friends who have helped me a lot lately, and now I'll be able to do something nice for them," she remarked with a smile, leaning back in her chair thoughtfully.

(OOC: Figuring she could at least buy an outfit or two for herself, some groceries for the group, and maybe a little something for Laura if I can think of something cool but not too expensive.)

"Wait, really?" Olive blinked, as if she wasn't expecting Guinan to say anything. Then she smiled. "Well that's great! It's always good to help a bestie out."

But before Guinan could live, Olive reached out a hand. "Wait!"

"Um, do you have a change of clothes? I noticed your clothes got all grody earlier when we rode through that market." She rubbed a hand on the back of her skull. "...Sorry."

It was true. Guinan's pant suit was completely stained from earlier, and was splattered with vegetable-colored splotches all over.

Olive looked away shyly. "Uhm, I was wondering... I got this gift card to some boutique in Lumiose City, but I don't think I'm gonna use it. So, I was thinking maybe you could use it instead?"

If Guinan said something back, Olive flicked her wrist forward dismissively. "Nah, it's fine. I've practically got clothes coming out my ears. ...Maybe buy something for your BFFs?" She gave a wry smile.

She smiled warmly.
"But like, yeah! Thanks for helping me and stuff. You were really good. Like, I think you'd be a really good Trainer one day. See ya!"

And with that, Guinan walked out the door, Olive said her goodbyes, and then she closed the door. Guinan was standing out in the cold night again.

It was dark outside, the street lamps were twinkling through the fall air. She may have wondered if they really would meet again. But she had a party to get to.

(Well that might save her some money. I was also planning to have a fall festival in Lumiose (sort of like Halloween) and she could spend some money there.

What if they met someone in a Guinan costume? )

Guinan started to protest the gift card but Olive wouldn't have it, so she accepted gratefully and left with a tired smile.

Once outside, she looked at her pokedex: 12:13. She remembered the party and frowned down at her ruined suit. "I don't suppose you could make the stains vanish, huh Q?" she called out, but there was no answer.

(OOC: I'm not sure how to deal with this. The RP has moved on to the next day, but Guinan would have at least texted the group, either to say sorry but she can't make it, or to ask if the party is still happening, do they want her to be there? Either way is believable enough. Should I have her send a text and not get a response? Of course she can't attend the party because of the time differential.)

(OOC: They were at the party until six in the morning, so she wouldn't have missed it. We could say that she was too late for dinner, but she did come in time to see Lychee's battle against Laura and witness Mike, Gristle, and Kiki disappearing.

I mentioned before that "everyone" was there, so I think that could include Guinan.

I suppose we can shift to the next day now, since Guinan hasn't appeared yet?

I'm sorry this created so many problems. I just want to make sure everybody is back on the same page. )

(OOC: I suppose we could have her at the party and not say or do much, but you'd think there would've at least been some odd looks and remarks on her appearance and her new Pokemon. Not to mention, she needs to meet space kitty. I honestly think all of that should be played out, at least a little, so the result of that would be that Guinan can't attend the party. On the one hand, she didn't exactly promise she'd be there, but on the other hand, she thought she might be able to attend if she got done with Olive's early enough. It would be reasonable for her to assume that the party would be wrapping up soon, but she'd soon discover she was wrong. Not sure how much drama her non-attendance will cause with Lychee also.)

~Currently, on Sunday~
Kiki was sipping their tea at the table. "Geez, where is Guinan? You'd figure she'd be up at this hour."

They looked at the time. It was... six PM. "Actually... heck, I figured she'd be up, like, twelve hours ago." They looked up.
"Does anyone know where Guinan went? She wasn't at the dinner yesterday."

Guinan's text from the previous evening read: "Sorry I can't make it. Still working. So tired. Happy birthday Lychee."

Guinan arrived back at the hideout at 1 AM. She figured the party would end soon, so she decided to eat a sandwich and call it a night. She did not open her eyes when the others came back at 6 AM.

By noon, Guinan was wide awake. If Lilli was in the kitchen, Guinan would have smiled and nodded to her. "Good morning, I'm off to the store." With a wave, she ran out the door.

On her way to the store, she got sidetracked with a scene that I'm too tired to think of now, just so she stays out all day until 6 PM. Any ideas?

Guinan rushed into the hideout at 6, carrying groceries, as well as a bag from the boutique. She was still wearing the dreadful suit. Her pokemon, including the Ariados and Weedle, were all out of their pokeballs.

Unless someone screamed, Guinan said, "I'm so sorry I missed the party last night. Remember that job I had? This lady Olive, says she was a former Pokemon champion," she began in a rush. "Well, we had a crazy time to say the least, and it just got later and later, but I needed the money." She looked around the room, feeling embarrassed as people looked at her.

"Oh hey, you finally showed up." Kiki grinned. "I must've magically summoned you."

"Huh?" Lilli said. "...She's been here all morning."

"...Wait, groceries?" Lilli jumped up and ran over to the groceries. "Did you buy the juices I asked for? How about the syrup? All of the fruits?"

They were scrutinizing the groceries.

Lilli jumped up and down excitedly, as they pulled out a can. "Oh boy, my coconut water is even here! Thank you, Guinan!"

As they looked at all of the unpacked groceries, Lilli stroked their chin in a theatric manner. "Very good, very good."

Lilli rubbed their hands together like a cartoon villain. "Hahaha... you have done well."

Then they reverted to their normal voice. "Wow, I think I can make a lot of stuff with this! Thank you, Guinan!"

Laura stood up and squinted at the bag from Boutique Couture. "Um, no offense, but how did they even let you in? I mean, no offense, but..." She looked at the stains.

Calem chuckled, looking down at his pokedex. "Word on the street is that there's a restraunt that got crashed by Cobalion and is getting repaired today. That must have been fun." He rolled his eyes.

"Gah! The cake!" Laura smacked her forehead. "Does anyone know what kinda decorations they like?!" She panicked.

"I know they like video games," Umbria suggested. "You could do a video game theme."

"What game?" Emma asked.

She tilted her head. "I don't know... Something about Zelda?"

It looked up at Guinan curiously, sensing a connection. Perhaps the peculiar lady had also lived in space?

"Finally!" Laura chirped, quickly finishing her breakfast and finishing everything that had to be done before stuffing it in the oven and plopping back down in the chair she was sitting in with a grin. "Hehe, I hope it turns out good."
