Half or so of my ancestors are from France. Father's side: Fournier. Mother's side: Shanahan.

I'm pretty sure I have no French ancestors. Lots of Native America, and irish though.

Mother's side is mainly Irish, but has some English, Scottish, Welsh, and possibly Cherokee.

It's a music video compilation of the opening and closing titles of Doctor Who from 1980-1984. It's actually from a DVD box-set called "New Beginnings". This was only the second completely new arrangements of the original theme. All others had been basically the original theme with the tempo changed and a few sound effects added. The 'Delaware' theme was the first attempt at something new, but virtually everyone hated it.

If you have a membership at a local library, or they have Doctor Who DVDs at your local video shop, let me know, and I'll tell you the best ones that are currently out on DVD.

And if you thought that THAT was strange, watch this video based on the ORIGINAL theme tune and title sequence elements. Note that the faces of the Doctor and Susan are actually taken from the pilot episode:

They literally built this thing up note by note, on bits of audio tape. No synthesisers when this was made. And the weird patterns were created by the video equivalent of audio feedback, whereas in the previous video, it was done more-or-less by standard animation.

Quatermass, what would you recommend to help remove olive oil from a bird's feathers?
I used olive oil to help remove Caso from a roll of fly sticky-paper, but cleaning him with baby shampoo seemed to do nothing. I don't want to use dish soap if I can help it, but may need to.
I could use regular shampoo, but it may have the same non-effect and also could hurt his eyes.

Unfortunately the veterinarians have hours here and my step-dad doesn't care for the expense
Instead, he washed Caso a few times. Now most of the oil is off. Thanks though.

Caso is doing better and now his feathers fluff enough for him to retain temperature.
