"Okay, it's time to go." Kiki said.
The cake was done and everyone was ready to go, so they left the hideout and went to the hotel.

"Let's see... Suite 100..." Umbria mused, looking down at a piece of paper. They were walking down a hotel hallway, looking for which one was Lychee's room.

"Ah-ha!" Umbria smiled. They came to two doorways which said 102 and 104. "We must be getting close!"

"WE'VE GOT THIS!" Kiki and Lilli said, and they stumbled on ahead and rushed past the rest of the group. ...Lilli, for some reason, was holding a blender, and the cord was trailing behind them as they walked. Kiki had a giant bouquet.

They reached the door with victorious grins.

"You do it first!" Lilli turned to Kiki.

"You know your priorities, child." Kiki gained a smug grin as they prepared to knock on the door.

Kiki rapped on the door. "Hello?"

They grinned as they called out into the hallway very loudly. "We are here for the birthday child~!"

But for some reason there was no reply. It sounded like there was noise coming from inside.

Kiki knocked on the door again. "Hello?"

But for some weird reason the door appeared to be unlocked, and as they leaned against the door, it slooowly swung open, and they accidentally stumbled inside.

"Huh?"

Lychee and their mom appeared to be having a heated discussion when they walked in.

Lychee's mother put a hand to her forehead as she walked over to where Lychee was. "You at least need to remember to feed yourself, Lychee!" she said exasperatedly.

"Wha-!"

She held up a bar of chocolate away from them. "....And chocolate is not a meal!" she scolded.

They appeared to not be hearing Kiki when they knocked on the door, so they supposed it was safe. The two eavesdroppers hid behind the door as they listened in on Lychee's conversation.

"....Ooh~ Looks like some family drama," Kiki grinned.

"...Juicy." Lilli whispered, with an equally mischievous grin.

Kiki licked their lips as they focused on Lychee from behind. "But not as juicy as our dear friend Lychee's--"

Lilli nudged Kiki in the ribs. "Shh! Listen!"

Laura bit her lip. She hated drama, but she was stuck with a cake that's heavy enough to make a noise if she put it down, so she tried to block out the yelling as best she could.
She looked over at calem, who was staring at the ground blankly. This reminded him all too well of the famly drama that he had to deal with growing up.

(I'm gonna have to split this post into three parts, so here's the second. I'd recommend you read this part.)

The conversation had suddenly taken a turn for the intense.
"Honey. I got an e-mail from Mrs. Kratsky today saying you were failing all of your classes. You are two months behind in math already. ...And if you keep this up, you're going to fail your junior year."

"Mom, you don't understand!" Lychee protested. "I can't do English! It's impossible!"

"I know it takes you longer than the other kids, but that doesn't give you any excuse to not do your work." She emphasized.

"But I'm trying really hard, Mom!" Lychee cried. "I'm doing the.. the best that I can!"

"Honey, 'trying' isn't going to cut it. In the real world, saying you're going to 'try' won't get you anywhere." Her tone seemed dissapointed. "I don't want you to try. I want you to do."

Lychee's eyes were sad. "But Mom, you don't understand! I... I know what I want to write, I just... can't write it! I've been trying all day, and I can't do it. If you help me with it, I can do the essay!"

Lychee's mom's expression became stressed, and she put a hand to her forehead and sighed. "Sometimes it feels like you can never do anything."

"W-what?"

At the sudden change in tone, the grin on Kiki's face vanished. "I... have the feeling we shouldn't be here," they whispered. They grabbed Lilli by the hand and the door slowly creaked shut.

Suddenly, Lychee grinned nervously as they opened the door. They seemed slightly shaken as they looked at everybody. "Uh... hi!" They grinned. "Welcome to my party... thanks for coming!"

They opened the door and stood to the side. "Heh."

The suite was really spacious, Lilli noticed as they walked inside.
There was a dining table that would have seated at least twelve people on one side, as well as as a spacious sitting room with two sofas that sat in front of a flat-screen TV.

There was a doorway that looks like it led into the kitchen, and a hallway to the left that led down into the bedrooms. On either side of the living room/dining room were glass doors that led onto the two different balconies. On top of that, there was also a bonus room and a laundry room!

Lychee's mother smoothed her skirt down and instantly seemed to be combing down any bad spots in her hair as she noticed them come in. Then she scurried over immediately and greeted veryone by shaking their hands. "Ohh! Thank you so much for coming!" she said warmly. "It's an honor to have you all, sorry we're running a little late!"

Lychee whisked everyone away to the side as they brought them over to a cooler. "Would you like anything to drink?" they grinned. "We've got lemonade, water..."

They pointed to the kitchen. "Uhm, my mom's making snacks in the kitchen, if you wanna go check that out..."

The whole scene was moving so quickly, it could almost make someone instantly forget what had just happened.

They even had music playing in the background. (Although it was some weird dubstep remix of a theme from a Pokemon game.) It was clear they had really gone all out for this party.

(Yes, I know it's a map of a hotel room from a Disney resort, but that's basically what it looks like. )

"Lychee! This cake is getting kinda heavy! Where do you want it?" Laura asked quickly.

Calem continued to blankly stare at the ground until Laura came back from the kitchen with a bottle of lemonade and a grin that was contagious enough to rub off on him. He forced a smile as Laura hugged him lovingly.

"This really is amazing!" Laura gushed.

When Dan, his Shedinja, and Rose entered Lychee's hotel room, and settled down, Dan used his powers to play this song on the TV Stereo:



And then Dan and Rose got themselves drinks, Sweet Tea for Dan, Lemonade for Rose.

"Wait, cake?!" Lychee blinked. They were in the kitchen, talking to their mom, when they heard Laura shout something about a cake in the other room.

"It's okay, we got the cake! We'll be having it in a couple hours!" Lychee called back.

Laura frowned. "So I baked this Zelda cake for nothing?" She asked them sadly.

Two cakes is even more yummy! It tried to sound reassuring, but then its stomach gave a low rumble.

Lychee is in the other room, so they can't understand what Laura is saying. They just heard the word "cake."

When Lychee came out of the kitchen and saw the green three-layer Triforce cake on the dining room table, they gasped.

"Is that the Triforce?!" A huge grin spread across Lychee's face. "That's... that's really awesome!"

"....Did you buy a cake?" They turned to Laura, still happy. "You really didn't have to."

"Actually I made it myself." Laura said shyly. "Making sweets is one of the things I do in my free time, so I decided to make one for you because I didn't know if you had one already..."

Lilli mostly watched in silence as the drama with Lychee's mom unfolded. Their face was frozen, their eyes wide like a frightened animal.

The scene provided Lilli with rough flashbacks of their own home life.... that was, when they had a home.

They smiled when Lychee recieved their cake. "...Good,"
they said.
