I wish my car got 1000 miles per gallon.

Granted, but it achieves this by including bicycle pedals which you need to use for going up hill. The petrol engine only works going down hill.

I wish I had a cup of tea.

Granted, but the cup handle breaks just as you're about to take the first piping hot sip and it all falls into your lap, scalding you severely, and the shock of it causes you to leap up from your chair, knocking over the table where you were sitting, launching the decorative candle into the curtains, igniting your entire building in flames, and you all of a sudden remember that you allowed your insurance to lapse the week prior.


I wish my salary would double.

Granted, but so does your workload.


I wish all disposable packaging were recyclable and that everyone recycled.
