Russia and Africa have many things in common. Many things, my friends.

Overloaded vans, all manner of lugage being transported on the roof rack, cattle crossing the main link roads between cities and the Greyhound having to hoot them out of the way, to name just a few. Getting really sleepy now and have to say goodnight soon.

Good night!

That reminds me of moose on the road and ridiculous amounts of RVs in Alaska, haha.

Sorry to hear that.

I don't get it often, but when I do I can be awake for days. Last time I started hallucinating, I was so tired. :?

Do sleeping pills not work for you guys?

I've tried them once myself, but they didn't do anything for me.

I'm not a fan of pills. They do work, but I don't feel good taking them. I feel like a zombie for the rest of the day, and it's hard enough for me to feel 'lively' at the best of times. 8)

Ugh, now I'm not going to be able to take capsules either! :P

Insomnia can be a significant problem for me, which I think is part of ASD. But I'm never awake for days at a time; the worst it will do is ruin a night of sleep and I'll end up sleeping 2-3 hours. On top of that, it usually takes me up to an hour to fall asleep normally or on a good night.

Ambien works really, really well on me apparently-- I've only ever tried it once and it was a half-tablet. I felt like a million bucks when I woke up. But that stuff scares me, from what I've read about it, so I've never taken it since. I shy away from anything that sounds more like illicit hard drugs than medication.

I usually take melatonin, which is a more natural way to fall asleep, and most of the time it works well enough. If I really want to make sure it works, I take two 5-mg capsules. A single 5-mg pill is the "industrial strength" dose, but I am very tall and I think I need more than most people for it to be effective. And I don't think there's any danger in taking two when it comes to melatonin.

I found a gummy supplement which was even better at my local market once, which has melatonin plus some herbal stuff in it that gave me a better quality of sleep. I didn't feel groggy at all any time I took it, like I sometimes do taking just melatonin. The market stopped carrying it though; I need to see if I can order it online for myself. If anyone's interested, I can send you the name of it and possibly a link once I find it.

Sleep well, everybody! :D

They say warm milk helps with insomnia. I tried it once. Lord, it tastes more terrible than Bulgarian frog vodka. I didn't sleep the whole night.
