Smiling at Lilli, Guinan started putting the raspberries in the food processor. "Sounds good, how do you make it?"

Lilli held up a finger. "Ah, but first you must purée those raspberries. We cannot make my Lava without the raspberry purée." As Guinan was blending the raspberries, Lilli leaned on the counter. "Heehee... well, smoothie is kind of a misnomer. It's actually piña colada mix and raspberries. Did I tell you about how I used to work at a juice bar?"

They gained a devilish grin on their face. "See, it used to be called the Bosque Piña Colada, and it belonged to the restaurant across the street... and they were sellin' their piña coladas left and right, and it was taking away our customers. Buuuut, by some.... ehe, creative tactics, I figured out how to make the piña colada, except without any alcohol in it. And then I had the bright idea of adding raspberry syrup to it, and it was really sweet, and thus... the Lava Smoothie was born!"

They spread their arms out wide, like they were showing her how big something was. "It was actually a really, really big hit, and it ended up saving us from goin' outta business! Isn't that cool? So that's the story of how the Lava Smoothie was invented."

Then they showed Guinan how to make the Lava Smoothie, starting from the beginning. Guinan had a scoopful of solid ice-cream-looking stuff in a cup, and Lilli was showing her on how to pour the raspberry puree onto the solid part. "And then you pouuuuur that in-- okay, nope! Nope, stop! Stop when it's about three-fourths of the way to the top. Beautiful."

They stuck a bendy straw into the cup, and placed a tiny cherry on top. They narrowed their eyes, speaking in a deep hammy villain voice. "Now, my apprentice, would you like to sample your creation?"

Mike notices that his gun is missing and he immediately grabs Mars' jacket and searches through it's pockets pulling out his pistol. "What are you doing with this?" Mike asks, and Mars replies "Come on, even in your universe you are a billionaire who can afford a new one easily and with all that's going on I probably need it more then you anyway." Mike makes an "I'll be watching you" gesture and puts his pistol back in his own coat.

Mars enters the kitchen to get away from Mike who was clearly quite mad and upon seeing what Lilli was preparing he asks "What's this? It looks and smells pretty great, do you need any help?"

Guinan grinned at Lilli. "That's great that your place made it through," she remarked before putting more raspberries in the blender.

When Mars came in, Guinan looked over at him with just a touch of suspicion. "Did something happen in there?"

"Aw hell yeah." Kiki thought when they heard Mike yelling at Mars. Their eyes practically turned to stars, and a mischievous grin crept across their face. This was the Ki type of dude.

Looking over Mars, Ki grinned as he came in. "Gotta say, that ain't the only thing that looks or smells great..."

Ki slid over to where Mars was and leaned against the counter, "I need lotsa help, actually. Mind lending me a hand?" They looked back at all of the fruit which still needed chopping. "And I'm not just saying that 'cause I wanna hang out, I could actually seriously use some help with this chopping. Mind helping me out?"

Laura poked her head into the kitchen. "May I have one? Or am I interupting...." She hesitated, looking over at Kiki and Mars. "Am I interupting a moment?"

"I honestly have no idea so don't worry about it." says Mars to Laura as he takes out a pocket knife and begins cutting fruits, but once that proves difficult with such a short blade he gets an idea. His prosthetic eye swaps out the lens for a laser and Mars attempts to cut the fruit with it. It works but it chars the fruit and the cutting board catches on fire, forcing him to throw it on the ground and stomp on it until the fire extinguishes. He picks up the cutting board and begins using the other side of it that wasn't burned. "That was a terrible idea. Note to self: food isn't prepared with lasers for a reason. Does anyone have any spare knives?"

"Hey! Let's wash the cutting board first!" Guinan called out to Mars in annoyance. She then tried to take the cutting board from him.

(OOC: cutting food with a laser! Classic!)

It stared wide-eyed at Mars' laser, as it had never seen anything like it.

“Hey”, Rose called out to Lilli when they are making Pina Colatas, out of concern, “The drinks you're making doesn't have any alcohol in it, does it? Because, really, we're underaged.”

(Once Lilli says "The Pineapple Shack is now open!"... that's a good time.)

Ki hadn't really been paying attention, but they were busy cutting up an apple. "Huh? Oh yeah." They had an extra knife on them. But instead of handing it to Mars normally, they gripped the knife like it was a murder weapon, and threw it across the room, landing it with a shk in the opposite wall. They did it in one hand, without even looking up.

Lilli stared and looked over in amazement at the knife which was now buried in the wall. They stopped what they were doing.
Ki didn't even notice anything until they looked up. "Huh? What's going on?"

They looked up at the wall and their eyes widened. "I... have no idea what I just did, I'm serious. I have no idea what just happened."

Laura mentally scolded herself for not being able to strike up a conversation that ammounted to anything more than awkward small talk with anyone. She glanced over at Calem who was talking to Gristle, considering joining their conversation, but decided not to. She didn't want to seem too clingy. And since Kimmy and Lucy were already busy with Mariokart, she meekly walked over to Lychee.

"Soo, happy birthday.." she said with a nervous smile.

Guinan frowned at the knife embedded in the wall. She said nothing however. It wasn't her house. Then her frown turned into a little smile as she wondered about this magical world. Maybe, just maybe someone would be able to fix it before Lychee's mother noticed anything. Guinan remained silent as she returned to her task.

Lychee looked up at Laura and smiled awkwardly. "Thanks. Yeah... this is my first birthday party. Uhm... have you ever had a birthday party?"

IS THIS HOW YOU DO SOCIAL INTERACTION??

Suddenly Umbria slid over with a huge smile on her face. "Heeeeeey, whatcha talking about?" Oh god, it's the awkward intruder.

She leaned over the edge of the sofa. "Wanna come sit on the balcony with me? It's reeeeaaally nice outside."

Lychee frowned. "Nahh, I don't wanna come outside, it's too cold outside." They began sweating profusely. "B-besides, why would you ever wanna go outside? We can play games and stuff inside--"

Despite that, Umbria grabbed them by the arm and started dragging them toward the balcony door. Her progress was slow since Lychee was digging their heels into the ground, but Umbria was surprisingly strong. "You can't just stay suffocated in a closed building all day, you need to get some fresh air!"

"NoOoooO...."

Laura gasped, and grabbed Lychee by their other hand and not budging an inch. "Hey! This is their party, let 'em do what they want!" Laura protested.

Lychee scowled irritably. "This isn't tug-of-war. I am not a prize to be fought over. Let go of me now." Gristle looked up from his conversation with Calem. "Hey, ease up, Bree. You should listen to Laura."

Umbria finally let go of Lychee's arm, and they relaxed. "Fiiiine, I'll go outside if you want." They threw an irritated look at Umbria. "Happy now?"

Gristle set down his knitting needles and stood up. "If you're going, then I'm going too. It seems pretty nice out." Calem followed behind him, and they all got up. Umbria pushed open the door to the balcony.

There were five chairs on the deck. Gristle sat down in one and sighed. It was very breezy out, but too dark to see much. They had a pretty good view of the main streets of Lumiose. Gristle sighed. "Man, this reminds me of my hometown..."
