Granted, but the straps are still attached to the chairs.

I wish I had 10 more guitars.

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Autism Speaks will NEVER speak for me

CLASSIC AUTISM

Granted, but they no longer attach to the chairs, or anything else for that matter, and are rendered useless for anything other than floor decoration.

I wish I owned my own home.

Granted, but your home is a rotting shack on the edge of the woods.

I wish my cat could talk.

(accurate description of my apartment there!)

Granted, your cat is now fluent in Esperanto and Seswati.

I wish I wouldn't forget things so easily.

Granted.

Now whenever something reminds you of past events, you relive those events in minute detail. And if one of those details happens to remind you of another past event, you get stuck in that memory, too.

(Just like recurssive interrupt routines!)

I wish that cute philippine girl running the help desk at MIS would come over here and sit on my lap.

Granted, and as she does, (s)he whispers in your ear, "I hope you don't mind, I'm pre-op."

I wish I could concentrate on work (well, not really...)

Granted, one frozen diet root beer coming up.

I wish I could drink beer without getting sick.

Granted. You get your wish but go insane as a result. (No added corruption needed!)

I wish the US was debt free.

Granted, the US goes bankrupt paying its debts and the economy collapses.

I wish I lived with my boyfriend.

Granted then maybe the credit crunch wouldn't be hitting Europe so hard either. However, the US is now debt free because it has been assimilated by China and the US is now just a province of the Chinese economy.

I wish the pound/euro interest rate was better.

Granted, but you learn the hard way how he loves to play practical jokes by swapping the toothpaste for hemorrhoid cream.
(Didn't want you to get skipped)

I wish time would stand still.
