The books comprising the Protestant Bible are silent on the fate of the Ark. The Catholic Bible thinks Jeremiah hid it in a cave on Har Sanai (remember the mountain Moses descended with the tablets?). The Jewish think King Josiah hid it in a secret place which had been prepared by Solomon himself.

So, no one really knows, do they?
