California Chrome won the first two races, but lost the Belmont. Did you know there hasn't been a Triple Crown winner since the 70s?

Well, only one of the most fun, and exciting sports, EVER----IF you like horseracing. "The Triple Crown", as it is called because a horse has to win all three legs of the race, is run every year, beginning in Kentucky----then, Maryland----then the final, in upstate New York. There hasn't been a Triple Crown winner in, like, 36 years. Everyone was sooooooo excited about this year's Belmont Stakes because of the horse that had won the Kentucky Derby and The Preakness (Baltimore, Maryland). The horse belongs to Blue Collar workers who had sired THIS horse, "California Chrome", for like 10,000 dollars (racehorses usually cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to BUY). There's a much longer, involved story, than that----but, suffice it to say....

Well, when another horse won, yesterday, thereby unseating "California Chrome", well.... You could hear a pin drop at the track. Instead of ANYONE, almost, cheering the winning horse, everyone was so sad "California Chrome" didn't win. ("Chrome", BTW, is what the white on the legs and face of a horse is called.)

Sooooo.....

Will there EVER be another "Triple Crown" winner?
