In the movie Out of Africa, Meryl Streep's character is trying to get an ok from the old tribal chief to allow children in his tribe to learn English. She waits as the translator talks to the chief, listens as the chief speaks briefly then spins away from her and teeters off.

She looks at the translator.. "What did he say?"
"This chief says 'These British have this English and what good has it done Them?'"
