Yeah, they did pay peanuts those days.. luckily they did get bonus bananas (and broccoli, I reckon).

Btw, have you ever seen the 'can-can' doing giraffes? The 'Moulin Rouge' (being a mill) was the only place they literally could preform.. but they only did the act two times for even at the time it was perceived as too much nudity.

I used to watch that back in the UK. I was useless picking out the former celebrity in the line-up. Enjoyed the show though and the humour.
