Erm, I was.... before the gender change.... (yep, still am an excellent yodelist)
Reminds me of my first day of work at my first (proper) job. I had to go to a safety briefing with all the other new folks, and one of the things we had to do (probably to foster 'teamwork') was to say, in front of all the other people, three 'facts' about ourselves, with one of them being untrue.
Now, I really didn't want to lie to all these people, even though it was supposed to be part of the game (actually I didn't want to participate at all, but I was going to have to), so I figured my untrue 'fact' (as though there could ever be such a thing) should be something obviously false. I also thought I'd introduce a bit of levity to the proceedings.
So it got to my turn, and I said to all the people there "My name is [McTell] and I... used to be a woman."
Nobody laughed. They all just looked at me funny.
