Its one of those phrases where you can't take it literally. In this case "on" means it is anywhere attached to the bus (or part of it). Its like saying "do you have money on you?" The person is probably not asking if there is cash on the person's head.

I don't get it. Doesn't "on" mean "at a higher level" or "further from the ground"? (Playing the role of a confused aspie :lol: )


As in resting to constrained to in a gravity-induced or compartment-like fashion. Make sense? :twisted:

So, on top of, (resting) constrained to (as in held in by screws), gravity-induced (still on top of) and compartment-like (underneath the vehicle). 8)
