(The instruction only says to use the last two letters in the new word. It doesn't rule out inserting an additional letter before or between the two letters. For example, we could introduce an 'a' and form "hamburger" or a 'y' and from "hymnal". Also, we could reverse the letters and insert a 'o' and form mohair. If we had the word "pizzazz", we might insert an 'a' and go with "zazzy". It might be more interesting to insert an 'i' and form "zizz" leaving the next person with two z's in a row. Or we might even put an 'i' before the "zz" and use "izzat" meaning "public esteem". With "algorithm", one could even use the last three letters and insert a letter between the second and third to create "theme", "thumb", or "thyme". Any of these seems reasonable under the rule.)
