Birdsong.

Crickets chirping or the trickle of a stream over rocks?

Crickets.

Smell of pines or smell of the roses?

Roses.

Smell of lilac or smell of honeysuckle?

Lilac! (have one in the front garden).

Dove chirping or blackbird singing?

Blackbird singing. (Doves steal my veg and a cooing dove is a full dove )

Buzzards circling or sky larks?

Blackbirds around here don't have pretty songs, so I'd go for doves ... but I wouldn't call it chirping, more cooing. I'd take a mockingbird over any of them, though.

Hawk or bluebird?

Hawk. Sometimes see hawks/buzzards perched on top of telegraph poles here. Quite magnificent birds.

Bird spotting or train spotting? Bird spotting..

climbing trees or climbing mountains?

Mountains...that way I can see all the trees.

off road hiking as, I tend to enjoy taking long excursions in various places..

Dislike both extremities but going for bitterly cold because extreme heat makes me feel quite sick.

The darker, the better! Rye bread preferably.

Veggies cooked in stews.
