I like to try new varieties or new veg. I don't always like the new stuff, nor does it always grow well. Some things were well worth trying such as Swiss Chard... the leaves when de-stalked, chopped and steamed mix well into a cheese sauce and served with pasta.

The next person likes to experiment with their own recipes rather than do those in books?

Yes. My all-time favorite cookbook is the Joy of Cooking, because it gives techniques and suggests combinations that I can riff off of.

The next person likes to eat summer tomatoes off the vine, standing in the garden, without even getting them to the kitchen first.

(I tried cashew nuts in my last fried rice dish as you suggested - they worked well :thumleft: )

Yes, nothing like fresh picked tomatoes. I do like to rinse them first though, just in case.

The next person washes their hands more often than most people?

Yeah ... being in the kitchen they get washed a lot.

The next person has figured out an ergonomic setup for the computer so he can spend hours on it at a stretch without hurting himself

More or less. Slightly higher desk than most people have helps - same with the kitchen worktops.

The next person has lots of kitchen gadgets stowed away that they rarely use?

Nope, I use almost all of them. I don't tend to watch the late-night shopping channels

The next person has more garden tools than he needs.

Correct. I've a terrible habit of seeing gadgets (cookery, diy or gardening related) and thinking "That looks useful!" (oops thread has switched again  )

Gardening gadgets or cookery gadgets? (Time for my to go now. Bye :salut: )

For quantity, cookery. For uselessness, probably garden, just because I have less of a sense of what works in the garden.

4 seasons or constant 78F pleasant weather?

Practical in theory, but theoretical in practice. (i.e., I wish I were the kind of person who can do all kinds of things with her hands -- build things, fix things, sew, garden, etc.) -- but in fact I'm all in my head and a klutz with my hands. Suffice it to say that I scored a -0- on the S scale on the MBTI.
