Marilyn has been dead seventeen years longer than she was alive.

I'm often unaware that a singer is British----or, ANY other nationality----because, for some reason, accents are rarely heard, when one sings----except for Country. Look at Keith Urban----you wouldn't know he was from Australia, if you hadn't heard him talk----same with Tom Jones being Welsh, and a whole bunch of other people.....

Estelle Parsons (you may remember her as Roseanne's mother, and / or, from "Bonnie and Clyde", for which she won an Oscar----and, DESERVED it!) was a childhood friend of Jack Lemmon; and, originally studied to be a lawyer.

Yes. The Beatles are easier to understand when they sing the songs on the soundtrack of "A Hard Days Night" then when speak in the movie because they loose their Liverpool Scouse dialect when they sing. Amy Winehouse had a very strong blue collar London Cockney dialect when she spoke, but she sang in generic English.

Yep, Amy Winehouse is a GREAT example----as are Adele and Sam Smith!! (I want Sam Smith's album SOOOOOO badly!)

If you listen to Andrea Bocelli sing 'When A Child Is Born', in English, though, his Italian accent is so heavy that

some parts of the song are difficult to understand........lovely voice, though;

My favorite of his albums is 'Romanza'.
