Ya, I was wondering that too.

Ya, I still like Tom Baker the best, having recently re-watched some old Doctor Whos and been freshly floored by how good they were. There just never will be another Tom Baker-style Doctor, with his inimitable reactionary quirks and comic-drama flare.

I liked Davison after "Castrovalva", but he lost me in "Visitation". Doctor-in-a-bad-mood is not the same as interesting-Doctor. But in Castrovalva, we felt sorry for his plight, and I just really liked the episode, although not as much as its prequel, "Logopolis", which is my all-time favorite.

One Doctor I can't ever see myself liking is Colin Baker.

Billie Piper left because she was being presented with lots of other opportunities and because she felt overwhelmed with work. She's been overwhelmed before in her singing career - (I've read her autobiography)

Anyway, shortly after leaving, she said quite publicly that she wished she'd stayed on a bit longer because she realized how good it was afterwards. Obviously the BBC were listening - hence Season 4.

Yeah but Jon Pertwee wore his own clothes! Even OWNED the whomobile! Can't get more close to life than that. I read HIS auto biography a LONG time ago.

My OP theory was that "You always remember your first" In that a fan is always going to love the 1st doctor they see the most. How Many of you David Tennant fans saw him as DR WHO for the first time?

Again I wish I had all those old shows on dvd.My friends uncle had them 1st to 5th but the basement flooded and mildew ate the tapes

i am a massive david tenant fan but he is no way my first doctor, i have watched reruns most of my ife and tom baker was the first doctor i saw, but there is something just so brilliant about david tenant lol

My first Doctor was Jon Pertwee but my current Fave is David Tennant.

Before David, it was Sylvester McCoy

and before Sylvester McCoy came along, it was Patrick Troughton.


Go figure - I think I like a bit of humour.

I saw Tennant in a drag skit and pranking a costar on YouTube.

I like his sense of humor. I'm excited and look forward to the day that I'll somehow get the chance to watch the new show.

I also saw on EBay lots of kids costumes and that sort of thing. I'm glad in England anyway Dr Who is also enjoyed by kids again.

I watched Battlestar Galatica as a kid and I watched the new show premire. I don't think kids would be into it much. I like humor and campiness.
