If you inhale a pea, it can actually sprout and grow in your lungs.

I've actually heard that before-----I wonder if it's true.

Dogs are mentioned 14X in the Bible----cats aren't mentioned once.

Regarding your signature, lions are mentioned, all the time.

Cats do not have to be little....though the little Pallas Cats, recently found to have moved into Tibet, are so gorgeous, they really must be mentioned!

:D

Jackals are actually small-ish wolves.

Various species of Hyenas have characteristics of both cats and dogs, but most of the surviving species including the ones we're used to thinking of as Hyenas are classified as part of the "cat-like" suborder of carnivores. There is also a "dog-like" suborder of carnivores, which once contained several Hyena species, of which now only the Aardwolf remains.

The animal previously known as the 'Saber-Toothed Tiger' is now referred to the. 'Sabre-Toothed Cat', probably because they did not have stripes.

How do they know that?

The wife of Claudius I tried to poison her husband with poisonous mushrooms. Claudius' doctor thought he should throw-up, so he tickled the inside of his throat with a feather, hoping that would do it. Instead, Claudius choked-on the feather and died.

Ironic, eh?

When the mad Emperor Nero realized that he was going to be slaughtered by his own Pretorian Guard, he decided that falling on his own sword would be a preferable, less painful death.

Not sure how exactly to go about it,he asked (commanded) his faithful servant to fall on HIS blade, to show him how.

He refused.

The last Byzantine ruler of Constantinople (Constantine XI Draga? Palaiologos) was offered a peaceful life by Ottoman sultan Mehmed II if he chose to surrender.

Palaiologos refused. He put on a set of armor, grabbed a sword and fought to the death alongside his men as the city fell to the Ottoman forces.

The Liberty Bell and the bell @ Big Ben were both made by the same bell foundry, the Whitechapel Bell Foundry. They have also both been cracked!

Cars originally had to be cranked to start their engines.

The Da Vinci Code is not the first book in The Da Vinci Code series, Angels and Demons is. The Da Vinci Code movie was released first, however Angels and Demons takes place after it.
