I just heard on "The Today Show" that Gwen Stefani and her husband, are in "Splitsville"----apparrently, THAT'S the truth, cuz they read a quote, from Gwen; they've been together, 20 years.

Also, on "The Today Show", they said that Reba McEntire said she is divorcing her husband, of 26 years----and, read a quote from HER, as well.

It's always been interesting to me, when people split after so many years, together.....

The late, beautiful, talented and troubled Viviene Leigh has no tombstone, no

gravesite, no monument except her films, the books written about her, and the many

photos and paintings of her exquisite face.

She was cremated, and at her request, the ashes sprinkled over the pond at Tickerage

Mill, her beloved home.

That was her favorite place of all, and what a peaceful place for her to be forever.

R.I.P., Miss Leigh, your troubles are over, and you can finally rest.

"I Love Lucy"

Lucille Ball:

Was the first woman to own her own film studio as the head of Desilu Productions.

Appeared on the very first cover of "TV Guide" magazine in 1953.

Was 6 years older than Desi.

Was tutored, in comedy, by Buster Keaton.

In 1968, she was reported to be the richest woman in television----having earned an estimated $30 million.

William Shatner's wife Nerine was found at the bottom of their swimming pool, by Shatner himself , when he

returned home from a trip.

Her alcohol reading was three times the legal limit, traces of valium were found, and she had broken her neck diving

or falling into the pool.

She was his third wife.

Yep, and "Mannix", "The Untouchables", and "Mission: Impossible".

John Carter was almost made in 1992. It was going to star Tom Cruise and be directed by John McTiernan (Predator, Die Hard, The Hunt for Red October). It fell apart because Cruise didn't like the script, and also because the budget required for the special effects would have made the project tens of millions of dollars more expensive than Terminator 2, the most expensive film in history at that point.

She's also the reason Mission: Impossible exists. No other studio wanted it, but she did. She told Bruce Geller, the show's creator, "I don't understand it, but I'll make it." Even after other spy shows like The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and I, Spy had gotten canceled as the spy craze died down, Ball made sure that Mission kept getting renewed, and it lasted for seven seasons. She saw the inherent quality of the show despite not being able to follow the intricate plots.

she [ball] was a multiple threat- intelligent, beautiful, sexy, talented in general, a quick study, FUNNY [rare in itself], compassionate, a very complex creature she was. anyways...

incest was a subtly expressed subplot in the movie [and its title] "forbidden planet."

Clark Gable was considered for the lead role in Tarzan the Ape Man (1932), but the studio considered him too much of an unknown at the time. The part went to Johnny Weissmuller, who was already famous as a gold medal winning Olympic swimmer.
