Isn't it surprising, considering you've been banned a thousand times.

Edit: Not you Saki but Professor.

I'm sure you'll knock their socks off withg your awesome novel!

I write too, but fantasy/sci-fi of an original type aimed at intermediate age children (8-12) which no agent has expressed interest as yet, except one that wanted me to pay over 3000 pounds to have it published by them, which is well over R30 000 in our currency which I can't afford. I need a publisher that will accept the risk and carry the publishing and marketing costs!

Winning here is such a great experience. Saki and I can share the laurels of success.

R.

So true! I write middle grade fantasy (which is aimed at ages 7-12) :D That's my favorite age group - I write middle grade and I read it too  I have yet to finish a novel, but I think this is "the one," and I'm finally in a point in my progression as a writer that I have what it takes to finish a novel. This is definitely the story I've put the most work into! I've been world-building for 2 years now, character profiling for around three months (though I've had the basics for my characters since I started world-building), and I have my plot outline finished :D I'm still working on the maps, but I have enough done for now. It's a lot of work, writing a book - but totally worth it

YES! My initial writing I started during a time of extreme stress in the worst year of my life about 9 years ago now, when escaping into the book helped me maintai my sanity during a time of PTS and paranoia.
More recently I began editing the actual chapters to improve their readability. Would love to share a few samples of my writing with you so you can give an opinion on it and whether it's worth seeking an agent and has potentia

On a more serious note I want to write about some of my up and down life experiences, especially pre-diagnosis (which was four years ago). This is hard work but I have to do it and get it off my chest!

I can definitely relate to writing to maintain sanity. I have PTSD and writing has definitely been helpful for coping with that - both in processing some of the memories and emotions I have and in distracting me from them.

I'd love to read some of your writing, feel free to send some to me! :D
