Yep yep yep! Mm, I have a pot of butternut squash soup, will heat some up for lunch.

The next poster is pretty handy with a hammer and drill.

Yes, I'm a keen DIYer.

The next person owns several power tools.

Thanks for the tip about not 'rushing' the onions, RT. Is glazing the word here? Glazing the onions slowly? Well, not baking/browing the onions, me reckoning here.

~

Yes, I own a few power tools. Elec.- table saw (little one), a jigsaw machine, a milling machine, elec. drill and screwdriver. Um, more stuff even.. for I enjoy DIY-ing a lot also.. (but maybe I like to work with the 'old fashion' manual tools as the hand-saw, chisels, etc. even more so)

~

Next poster has made something functional of wood before. (like a bench, stool or cupboard maybe)

"Functional" might be a bit generous, but I made stuff like that when I was in school. More recently, I've only worked with stone I think.

The next poster seperates answers and questions in threads like this and Interview the person below you with a tilde.

Um yes, I do, don't I? Well, for me it's quite logical to use it.. to me the tilde means a change, a turn from answer to question that needs a thingy inbetween. Could be another symbol but the wave-like titulus seem to fit the purpose best. (although it has several different meanings altogether)

The next person could never be a cook (yes, you're able to cook properly) in busy restaurant for the stress it brings would chase her/him off within the first day of working there.

Exactly! Cooking for the monks is Just My Speed.
(brown the onions, in butter, slowly; then deglaze with beef stock a couple of times; then add the beef stock for the soup, bring to a boil, take off heat, put bread and cheese on top and run under the broiler) (Yum.)

The next person can identify more tree species by name than the average person can.

Probably.

The next person chops down trees, eats buttered scones and wears high heels.

That seems quite a nice job, Regina.. and thanks (again) for the more detailed instructions.. 'the what kind of stock to use' was the question burning here. Um, looked up recipes concerning French onion soup, and they mentioned herb/vegetable stock a couple of times but for me a broth/stock is extracted from, yeah, either meat or fish 'remai..' .. blahiah.

~

Yep, yes, yeah.. but buttered scones? Eeew.

[high pitched voice, too loud]yoohoo[/?] (tried the high heels and flower printed dress but.. faux pas, in a way, I reckoned.. in such a setting)

~

The next person thinks George Bush Jr. was one of the worst American presidents ever.

YES.

The next poster is unhappy with his country's current government.

Well as a Brit living in France I'm unhappy with both lots, but then I've never been happy with any government anywhere!

The next person doesn't take part in many political debates or discussions.

True. Most people who want to engage can't do more than argue for one party's line or the other's, which doesn't make for very interesting discussion or debate.

The next poster is not the one who posted before me.

Yes, I like the man. (Well, as long as he doesn't start singing again)

~

The next person has a tendency to get a dry skin in Wintertime (due to being indoors too often probably).

 Hey, that wasn't singing, I was yelling in pain because of a papercut! :x I'll have you know I sing like a bird (specifically, I sing like an ostrich).

~

Yeah, I have some patches of dry skin at the moment on my hands, although I suspect it might have more to do with the cheap hand soap I'm using to wash them (and my dad at least thinks I wash my hands more often than is practical). However, I doubt that the colder weather's doing much to help them.

The next person has at one point considered themselves knowledgeable on a subject, and then later found as they learnt more that they knew very little about it after all.

I tend to figure that out even while I'm deep into 'perseverating' or whatever you call it. That is, the stuff I actually know quite a lot about (relative to the general public), I don't ever get to the point of thinking I'm "knowledgeable" -- there are always other people who know 100x more.

The next person isn't very good at coming up with costumes for Halloween/masquerades.
