Granted, but all people ask to see if you know everything. You keep answering the questions right until the government take you away for testing.

I wish to drive for NASCAR.

Done! But nascar is still boring.

I wish I was less lazy.

Granted. You now have enough energy to do everything you want. However, you discover your new energy is due to overactive thyroid due to a malignant tumour. In short, your quality of life dramaticaly decreases.

I wish that Spider Robinson had written more books by now.

Granted, but the text in the new books are so small you can't read it with the naked eye.

I wish that there were no lake effect snow in Buffalo.

Granted, but now your region is experiencing severe drought.

I wish I had super-powers.

Granted. Now all you have is the power of auto-super-annoyance.

Granted, but for some reason it has a queezy effect on people who look at the colour...

Granted, but u can never aim them properly and end up destroying everything.

I wish i could turn invisible whenever i wanted.

Granted. You can turn invisible whenever you want. However, you also end up turning invisible many times you do not wish to. This ends up turning you into an even more social outcast. Also, as it can hardly be contained, you spend much time down at the police station answer questions as to where you were whenever a particularly daring heist occurs.

I wish that book prices in Canada would actually reflect the increase in our dollar.

Granted, but the dollar keeps on going lower due to a big debt in the U.S. Books in Canada get to have high prices forcing people to move to other countries. Pulishing places shut down due to the few books sold and eventually Canada has no more money and Canada becomes part of the U.S.

I wish that cars do not need a source of fuel.

Granted. Cars no longer need a source of fuel, as they no longer move.

I wish that weekends were longer.

Granted, but we're worked harder on weekdays.
I wish I wasn't so goddamn inconsistent.

Granted, but now the space shuttle does not have enough fuel to return to Earth nor enough resources to sustain the crew...
