Was it Notre Dame?

Did you know I love the Basilica and I've been there a few times?

Is this where you sat?

Would you believe I don't know enough about Jung to guess who the ladies were, but I know he identified archetypes?

Of course you should try painting. You are experienced? Think of supplies, start simple.

My idea of simple is gouache. I wasn't painting art; I was painting my dreams, very quickly, instead of writing them down. I had 9 'hockey pucks' of gouache in a clean pizza box, with a glass of water on the side, all ready to go. Sometimes if I couldn't sleep I'd get up and slash out an image of my problem, then sleep like a baby. I did a *lot* of this kind of thing.

Also I copied fine art with acrylics because oil never dries. You can dry acrylic with a hair dryer if you're using it in watercolour mode. But my favourite is van Gogh mode, thick, done with a knife.

Is that Notre Dame in Paris? Because we have an exact duplicate, smaller, in Montreal. But that was not the cathedral - it was St-Patrick's Basilica. On the far right, last pew.
Yes, the 3 ladies are archetypes - The 3 Fates. They weave your life; they are spinners. The 3rd one snips your thread.

Did you know that I was referring to Notre Dame in Montréal, because I've been there and I have family in Westmount?

Did you know that the three fates dream sounds lovely and peaceful, and I'm glad you saw your dog?

May I ask who is your family in Westmount? Are they lawyers? Maybe I worked for them over the last 30 years.
This encourages me that we might meet some day.

Would you believe they aren't lawyers, but the next time I go to Montréal I'll meet you in the Plateau or wherever you might be!

Would you like to pursue a discussion of the 3 Fates?
They are daughters of Zeus, who is powerless over their decisions.

The Fates are a group of three weaving goddesses who assign individual destinies to mortals at birth.

Their names are
Clotho (the Spinner, who spins the thread of life).
Lachesis (the Allotter, who measures its allotted length).
Atropos (the Inflexible, who cuts the thread of life with her shears).

They weave our lives. I expect that (per mythology) they determine our wounds.

Did you know that would be delightful, because I love learning new things and I certainly have wounds?

Did you know that I thought Westmount was fraught with lawyers?
I'm in Notre-Dame-de-Grace (aka NDG) - for now

Did you know someone in my family is at McGill Law School?

Is NDG near Concordia?

Did you know I'll try to think of a recurring dream for you?

Do they need to involve other people as muses?

A student seeking an elderly roommate?

Is NDG near Concordia?
Can you take Concordia's shuttle bus to its little satellite campus? That would bring you with ten blocks of me.

Did you know I'll try to think of a recurring dream for you?
Did you know details are important?

Do they need to involve other people as muses?
Did you know that, from Jungian context, there are no 'other' people? Just the Self.

Did you know that Isabella would love to answer you?

She's having trouble signing onto WrongPlanet at the present time.

Did you know that she really likes you?

Did you know I thank you wholeheartedly for your help tonight, kortie .... otherwise I'd still be locked out?

Did you know Claradoon that these are some of my recurring dreams (in extreme abbreviation):

- going to a pet shop from my childhood to see the kittens and simultaneously looking out the door of the shopping centre into the dark, realising I would have to walk home alone to my parents' house in deep snow?

- being in the back or passenger seat of a fast car with no driver and having to reach around to take the wheel without being able to reach the pedals?

- watching an airplane crash in the distance and pointing at it, but being more curious than alarmed?

- being in a big old house and the owners finally leave, so I can explore all the scary rooms that I've dreamed of before (it's always lucid), and sometimes the scary parts are upstairs but sometimes downstairs?
