I like them all and have a box set of all his movies on DVD. Some folks find his moves slow, but I love that, and the atmosphere he creates.

My sister is a big fan too. You must watch 2001: A Space Odyssey on the big screen with a live orchestra. They screen that every year (I think) at the Southbank.

His wife introduced the film when I watched it there about a decade ago.

2001 was the first film I ever bought way back. It was on VHS tape. I still like to watch the film now and then on DVD. I try to, but a voice keeps saying "I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that."

Ugh....Hal is menacing!

I absolutely love the ending where David Bowman goes through the monolith. All the visual effects and that room he ends up in with the black and white squared floor. The spooky choral bits and sounds. The look on his face when he accidentally knocks the glass off the table and it smashes. So mind bending the whole ending but I loved it.
