The Shining is another favourite. The way it starts is brilliant with that long drive to the hotel with those wide scenic views emphasising the isolation of the hotel. Jack Nicholson played his part brilliantly. Apparently when he said "Here's Johnny" while axing the door it was an ad-lib, not part of his script, but oddly one of the bits of the film he is best remembered for.

That's my Xmas day film. :lol:

Yeah, I know that interesting fact! It's the only horror film I can sit through on my own. The whole film is perfection all the way through.

Eyes wide shut is great too, but you can't watch it so easily multiple times as once you've seen the plot twists you know them. I love the music to that too.

Not overly keen on Clockwork Orange, it's OK but a bit too violent for me. Funny to see the young actors in it though who went on to become well know and play major roles.

Both great films!

Lindsay Anderson's If and O Lucky Man starring McDowell are quite brilliant too.
