OK. what about this.. I'm using hold control and click on the Mac to get the image addresses to copy, by the way. It's like right click

excellent, thank you... ctrl + click = right click on Mac (i will have to remember that) RE:
if i right-click the image place holder (red dot in a square) in your post on the WP page the object address shows a link for an email embedded image but not specifically an image file that may be added:
http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=2&ik=b9 ... d=0.1.1&zw
if you upload the image (jpg, jpeg, etc) from your email to www.imgur.com , imgur can then host the image online and give you a hosted address that you can then link to for forum posting

I can see the image on my computer though, it posted like all the other ones i did correctly 
it's too late; I must sleep. i have an irrational phobia/resistance to uploading photos to the web.

Now, let me see if I can work out how you did it? did you right click on the image and it gave you the image address and you took it from there, right?
