for posting a photograph that you have taken or an image from your computer...

for posting an image using the image code provided by the website (where the image is located), or by right clicking the image and getting the image address details by looking at "properties"...

if you go to www.imgur.com and click the "image url" button and copy-paste the image address (as per below example) into the dialogue box, www.imgur.com will re-host the image for you and give you a tidy new address to drop straight into the WP (or any) forum.

Thank you Tektek, I really struggled with it. There ought to be an easier way. Next I want to work on generating my own images with my digital camera. I don't know how to do a lot of these things. Thanks so much for your help! I'll keep practicing and using your instructions for the other ways.
