I was off being trampled by a runaway Planet.

They'd stumbled across the killer's lair and discovered an ancient magic bracelet. Little do they know, the power found within, that it allows he who wears it, to step inside other people, to see through their eyes, and experience their feelings. Perhaps with this, they can look inside the killer's mind and predict what lay ahead. But can they prevent it?

It is the Spring social season in the north. Lots of garden parties, so many to chat with.

Perhaps a mention of someone playing a cello in a closet?

Koise woke up, and reviewed his dream.
'What the heck?' he thought, 'How is any of that going to make sense?' He got up and thought 'The only way that'll happen is if I smoke some weird mushrooms!'
Koise, being one who doesn't sleep in pajamas, grabbed his staff and backpack and walked downstairs. Everybody was already there, even the new guest. Koise took his seat at the table and sat down.

"Well," said Bob, "Everybody's here. In fact, more than everybody, but that doesn't matter." He was talking, of course, about Kipo. She wasn't intended to be there, but Bob figured they needed all the help they could get.
"As Koise, Booger and I have noticed, the world is getting more dangerous. People are going missing and Shaelik, Thritle and Slichin attacks are rising. Nobody in the realm is exactly sure why, but we all suspect that it's coming from the land of Shadow and Ash."
"The land of Shadow and Ash?" Marilyn asked.
"Yeah, nobody knows it's real name so some guy came up with that one and now we all use it." Bob replied.
"So I'm assuming our job is to go over there and investigate?" Booger said
"Yes."
"How?" Koise asked
"That's where Scythe comes in."
"Who?" Booger asked
"Her," Bob said, pointing to the new person, who just put up her hand to say 'hi'.
Scythe wasn't dressed to be cheerful. She wore a singlet, had short hair, a beanie and wore back eyeliner. Her ears, being the large size you get with Renons, were heavily pierced with rings and metal balls. She also wore shoes, which is unusual because Renons feet are typically too large to wear shoes without looking like a clown. Her tail was also covered with Gothic ornament and beads, and the tip of her tail was cut off.

Marilyn gave a detesting glare at her.
"So how can Scythe help us?" Kosie asked
"Well, Scythe, like Koise, Booger and me, has explored many places, specifically areas we don't usually go into."
"So what does she do?" Booger asked.
"I break into people's houses." she said.
"What?!" Koise, Booger and Marilyn all exclaimed
"Yes, I know, she steals some valuables and stuff and sells them, but she's been hired by several people to find rumored entrances and secret passages, you know like the Bat Cave and stuff like that."
"So, we're trying to find a secret entrance in somebody's house?" Booger asked
"Yes." Bob said "One of her sources is a friend of mine, and I heard from him of a passage in somebody's house that may give us access to the LOSA."
"Losa?" Koise asked
"Short for Land Of Shadow and Ash. It's a bit long so I call it that sometimes."
"Ah, okay. So where is it?"
"In Marilyn's House." Scythe said.

How does Marilyn take this?
A) With Excitement, she had always thought her house was boring.
B) With Fear, if it led to Losa, then her house is the doorway to horrible things.
C) With Anger, that means Scythe broke into her house!!

C...then B when reality hits.

Oops, meant Scythe! I'll edit it now...

I like the C then B too.

I'd go with C...B can hit later.

Ah, everybody's back! This'll make it more exciting again.

Everyone at the table stared at Scythe.
"What?" Koise asked
"It's at Marilyn's house." Scythe restated. "We'd better get packing, it's a long walk through there..."
"But what abo-"Marilyn started
"Scythe is right." Bob said, "We'd better get going. Pack all that you need, and bring few valuables"
"Few?" Booger asked "Isn't it usually none?"
"Yeah, but I know people sometimes CANNOT part with a few essentials."
"Okay, let's go."
And so everyone got up and went off to pack. Koise stopped and turned.
"You going to pack, Marilyn?"
"I'm staying here." she said "I need to have a word with Scythe..."

How will the conversation go?
A) Explosively, Marilyn's really pissed off at Scythe
B) Hard and straight to the point
C) Marilyn tries to work up Scythe but Scythe remains calm

C, conflict that brings out story line, who hired her and why. Personallity development for Scythe.
